She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Garrett and Elizabeth Garrett (Sanford); her husband Charles Carey; and her children, Sharron Schroh, Michael, Charles and Richard.
She is survived by: her grandson Christopher; her children, Timothy (Alida), Kathleen Smith and Peter (Sue); her sister Helen (Peterson); and her children-in-law, Bill Schroh and Carol Carey. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
