She was predeceased by: her parents, William H. Brown Sr. and Hazel Ganung Brown; her former husband Peter C. Vail; her brother William H. Brown Jr.; and her nephew William H. Brown III.
She is survived by: her husband Pete; her sons, James (Elaine), Thomas (Laurie) and John (Barbara); her grandchildren, Brian, Kimberly (Christian Anderson), Kevin (Whitney), Emily, Peter (Olga Rocha), Nicole and Jon; her great grandchildren, Tyler and Cody Anderson; and her brother Harold Brown.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Hazel to Ossining Volunteer Ambulance Corps (OVAC).
