He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence K. Smalley and Margaret Smalley (Lyons); and his siblings, Clarence, Florence Bauers, Edith Charro and Elizabeth Camilloni.
He is survived by: his wife Janice (Merritt); his sons, Douglas (Caroline), Thomas (Janet) and Michael; and his granddaughter Stephanie Carter. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
