He was predeceased by: his parent Fred Geers; and his sister Nona Shaw. He is survived by: his parent Viola Lass Geers; his spouse Joanne F. Michaels Geers; his son Donald "Rick" Geers, Jr. (Merideth) of Georgetown, NY; his grandchildren, Joshua (Ashley), Benjamin, Jacob, Briana, Courtney, Matthew and Stephen; his great grandchildren, Olivia, Julia and Lilith; Gregory Geers (Cheryl) and Kevin Geers (Annette).
