He is survived by: his children, Donald Jr. Thayer (Linda) of Oswego, Donna Scoppa (Andrew) of Florida and Roseanne Puckett (William) of Arizona; his siblings, William Thayer of Oswego and Lorraine Mueller (Richard); his sister-in-law Louise Thayer; his grandsons, Anthony Scoppa (Taylor) and Steven Nelson (Caroline); his great grandchildren, Cody Nelson, Courtney Nelson, Evan Nelson, Avry Nelson and Aryn Nelson; and his close friend Jamie Totman.
