He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis and Ruth Zeller Sr. (Turner); and his sisters, Donna Zeller, Patricia Piersall and Carol Cuyler.

He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Nelson; his children, Francis Zeller III of Scriba, Carolyn Zeller of Scriba and Lisa Salmonsen of Scriba; his sister Janice Chavoustie of Syracuse; and his granddaughter Caylyn Salmonsen of Scriba.
