He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Plata and Mary Plata (Krupa); his wife Helen (Kaczowka); and his brothers, Ralph and Edward Plata.
He is survived by: his children, Connie Jackson (Dan) of Oswego, Frank Jr. (Trish) of Saratoga and Dan (Koren) of Chicago; and his sister Azelyn Alfieri of Camillus. He is also survived by four grandchildren and four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
