He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Harrington and Louise Harrington (Dowie); and his siblings, Beverly Sugar McVee and John Harrington. He is survived by: his wife Joanne Harrington (Olson) of Oswego; his children, Kimberley Farhat (Mohamad) of Montreal, Canada, Kelly Nilsson (Michael) of Georgia and Chris Harrington (Deborah) of Oswego Town; his grandchildren, Joshua Harrington (Katie), Yahya Farhat and Dylan Harrington; and his great grandchild Olivia Harrington. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
