She was predeceased by: her parents, William Davis and Alice Blair Davis; her former husband Charles I. VanHorn; her husband Vernon Ames; and her daughter Karen Demaintenon.
She is survived by: her children, William VanHorn (Phyllis) of Cato, Charles VanHorn (Laurie) of Red Creek and Vanessa Ames of North Carolina; her grandchildren, Paul, Tim, Lisa, Martha, Sara, Bonnie and Alesia; and her sister Gail. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
