He was predeceased by: his parents, Theophilus Hill and Margaret Hill (Wehurst); and his brother Donald Hill. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Goodemote; his children, Todd Hill (Linda) of Randolph, Rodney Hill (Cindy) of Cattaraugus, Debbie Douglas (Tom) of Bethany and Kathy Capron (Russ) of Otto; his brothers, John Hill (Marie) of Florida and Doug Hill (Shelly) of Missouri; and his grandchildren, Eric (Jess), Matt, Jim, Jennifer (Chris), Christi (Nate), Zachary (Lizzy), Derek (Melissa), Kelly (Justin), Ryan, Rebecca (Ronnie) and Randy. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or St. John's Church in Cattaraugus.
