It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Elizabeth Goodrow Bement Chest of Paul Smiths, New York, who passed away on April 26, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence William Goodrow and Eveline Stella Delametter; her husband James Chest; and her daughter Catherine Margaret Bement. She is survived by: her children, Michele Bement Edwards (Barry), Michael Anthony Bement, Mary Lynne Bement and Matthew Wayne Bement (Stacy); her grandchildren, Natalie Edwards Klebanoff (Noah), Nicholas Miles Edwards (Karlie), Delaney Jane Bement (Jack) and Sophie Marie Bement; and her great grandchildren, Graham Edwards Klebanoff and Griffin Cope Klebanoff. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, and countless friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Granger Homestead and Carriage Museum (295 N Main St, Canandaigua, NY 14424).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Mary's memory to Light Hill (Canandaigua Comfort Care Home Inc.).
