He was predeceased by: his wife Betty; his brother Bill Hawes; his siblings-in-law, Larry Perry and Alice Perry; and also, Dot Hawes, Annie Hawes and Mitsue Perry.

He is survived by: his siblings, Ronald (Barbara Hawes) and Patty (Mack McCarthy). He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
