He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce L. Durham; his son Andrew T. Durham; his parents, Paul Durham and Eva Durham; his siblings-in-law, Lee E. Lampson and Betty P. Lampson; and his pet Barney.
He is survived by: his son Thomas J. Durham; his daughter-in-law Patricia Durham; and his granddaughter Phoebe M. Durham. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In 1985, he was hired as the Executive Director of the Yates County Unit American Cancer Society, where in 1991 he received the Exemplary Service Award. Don retired from the American Cancer Society in 1994.
