She was predeceased by: her parents, Waldo Hoag and Helen Smith Hoag; her daughter Yvonne Grindel; and her siblings, Helen Bricks, George Hoag, Henrietta Sylor, DeMerle Hoag and Thelma DePuy.
She is survived by: her husband John Gilbert; her daughters, Jacqueline Gilbert (Joseph Sliwa), Gwendolyn Austin and Belinda Burczynski (Daniel); her grandchildren, Michael Grindel (Morgan), Angela Spake (Brian) and Brenton Austin; her great grandchildren, Marin Spake, Sorin Spake and Lennon Julia Grindel; and her sister Wilma Yohonn. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
