She was predeceased by: her parents, Felix Lovejoy and Mabel Lovejoy (Todd); her husband Elijah Tomkiewicz, Sr.; and her granddaughter Cassandra "Cassi". She is survived by: her children, Elijah Tomkiewicz, Jr. (Dawn Davis) and Alice Freeman (Chris); her grandchildren, Evan Tomkiewicz (Sarah), Eniola Sanni and Bradyn Turcotte; her stepgrandchildren, Bethany Booth (Steven) and Joshua Davis; and her sisters, Rosemary Shaw and Mary Sorrell. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be offered to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, a charity dear to Melvena's heart.
