She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Ward and Mae Ward (Thompson); her husband Bernard F. Murphy, Jr.; and her sister Doris Pidgeon. She is survived by: her children, Kevin (Jeannine Murphy), Shane (Diane Murphy), Colleen (Kenneth Hynes) and Shannon (Denis Mousseau); and her siblings, Phyllis Molisani (Clarence), Charlene Tricarico, Dennis Ward (Edie) and Ginny Mooney (Dennis). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren.
