It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothea Ames (Poughkeepsie, New York), born in Berlin, New York, who passed away on January 25, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Preignitz and Ann Preignitz. She is survived by: her spouse Ralph Ames; her daughters, Diane Bahrenburg, Lori Ames Hamilton (Rich) of Hyde Park and Marci Ames-Cobb (Tim) of LaGrange; her grandchildren, Sarah Devens, Brittany Stiles, Jay Cobb, Alex Cook, Shannon Cobb, Michael Cook and Kaci Cobb; and her sisters, Helga Hotz, Christa Wuerges, Kitty Sieburg and Erika Koche of Poughkeepsie. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
