With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Istvan Joseph Szalaji of Poughkeepsie, New York, who passed away on September 2, 2021 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Szalai and Maria Szalai; and his siblings, Ilonka and Danilo. He is survived by: his wife Vera; his sons, Andrew (Lisa) of Boston, MA and Michael of Cambridge, MA.; and his siblings, Janos Salai of Boca Raton, FL, Margita Cacanovic, Lidia Teleki of Serbia and Sarolta Tischmacher of Germany.
