He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert F. Neilson and Gloria Morales Neilson; his siblings, Robert Neilson, Jr. and Amanda Lea; his siblings' children, Lisa Neilson and Frank Bowman; and his great-niece Lorraine Blauvelt.
He is survived by: his wife Frances DeMichael Neilson (Fran); his daughter Michele Dyman; his son-in-law Dave Dyman; his son John Neilson, Jr.; his son-in-law Doug Blauvelt; his grandsons, Jason (Sarah Neilson), Josh Blauvelt (Tyler) and Patrick Blauvelt; his great grandchild Benjamin Neilson; and his sibling's children, Jeannette, David Lea and T. R. Lea. He is also survived by his wife, children and family.
