It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marion L. Van Ackooy of Poughkeepsie, New York, who passed away on December 31, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John E. Perkins and Florence C. Perkins (Rhodes); her sister Florence Schoonmaker (Perkins); and her husband John W. Van Ackooy. She is survived by: her children, Louise M. Van Ackooy of Poughkeepsie, NY, Susan M. Van Ackooy of Marlton, NJ and John W. Van Ackooy, Jr. (Rebecca) of Highland, NY.; her sister-in-law Anna Berger (Van Ackooy); and her grandchildren, Christina L. DeSantis, Michael P. DeSantis, Nicole Shaw (Rick) and Louis Perry (Brittany). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and several great grandchildren.
