He was predeceased by: his parents, Max Hammerling and Emma Hammerling (Roth); his wife Catherine C. Hammerling; and his son James Hammerling. He is survived by: his sons, Peter R. Hammerling, Jr. of Florida, Steve Hammerling (Kelly) of Napanoch, NY and Fred Hammerling (Andrea) of Poughkeepsie, NY; his grandchildren, Bobby, Cathy, Jimmy, Laura, Allie, Jared and Danielle; and his close friend Patricia Healey. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
