He was predeceased by : his parents, Benedicto Albizu and Carmen Albizu (Henry); and his aunt Celeste Henry. He is survived by : his wife Desiree; his daughters, Jaclyn Albizu (Lyle Lentz) of Hudson, NY, Jessica Albizu (Dave Burton) of Albany, NY and Monica Albizu of Livingston, NY; his grandchildren, Josephine, Benjamin Lentz, Gregory and James Burton; and his siblings, Marcy Albizu, Domingo Albizu (Juliana), Ernesto Albizu (Linda) and Manuel Albizu (Marie). He is also survived by siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, colleagues, and friends.

Memorials may be made in Ben's memory to: St. John's Reformed Church, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, or the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research.
