Neal H. Shufelt Obituary
We bid farewell to Neal H. Shufelt of Remsen, New York, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 6, 2025 at the age of 81. Neal touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his brother Barry Shufelt; and his brothers-in-law, Don Schoen (Cheryl), Ron Schoen and Tom Lalyer. He is survived by: his wife Pat; his children, Kim Acevedo (Matt), Scott Shufelt (Alice) and Greg Shufelt (Michelle); his grandchildren, Madeline, Haley, Nick Acevedo, Grace, Emily Shufelt, Evy, Savannah and Tyler Shufelt; his siblings, Cindy Lalyer and Seam Shufelt (Kathie); and his siblings-in-law, Sally Shufelt, Jean Schoen and Tom Schoen (Sharon). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ackley-Mills Funeral Home (9597 Main St, Remsen, NY 13438). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Remsen United Methodist Church (9654 Main St, Briarwood, NY 11435). A burial was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at the Prospect Cemetery (100 State St, Prospect, NY 13435).
