It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sarah Jean Bevis (Rensselaer, New York), who passed away on November 4, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Bevis and Reba Bevis (Viall); her sisters, Betty Carknard and Gayle Marie McDonald; her brother-in-law Roger Tordoff; and her nephew Keith Tordoff.
She is survived by: her close friend Floyd Wilbur; her sister Iva Jane Tordoff (Tink); her brother-in-law Albert McDonald; and her sibling's children, Lisa Waters (Paul), David Tordoff (Jill), Timothy Tordoff (Karen), Stephen Carknard (Amy), AJ and Michael McDonald.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, Inc. (165 Columbia Turnpike, Rensselaer, NY 12144). A memorial service was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location.
