In loving memory of Edward Lydon Jr. (Rhinebeck, New York), who departed this world on July 28, 2025 at the age of 88. Edward leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Lydon, and Charlotte Lydon, Sr. (VanDyke); and his siblings, Charlene Goodrich, Timothy Lydon, Carol Brightly and Mary Cox.
He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Brewer of John's Lutheran Church; his children, Tracy Gardner (Keith) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Eleanor Lydon-Clements (Brian) of Red Hook and Edward "Teddy" Lydon of Elizaville; his grandchildren, Stephen (Heather), Cameron, Peyton Gardner, Madelyn, Gracyn Clements, Mason and Braelyn Lydon; and his siblings, Susan Moul of Red Hook, Randy Lydon of Barrytown and David Lydon of Florida. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, extended family.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Burnett and White Funeral Home (7461 S Broadway, Red Hook, NY 12571). A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Elizaville Methodist Cemetery (760 County Rte 2, Elizaville, NY 12526).
