It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Jay McKelvey Jr. of Richfield Springs, New York, born in Albany, New York, who passed away on September 6, 2020, at the age of 103, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his grandsons, Richard Drummond McKelvey of Altadena, CA and Brian Paul McKelvey of Summit, NJ; and his great grandchild Nicole Lee Mikita. He is survived by : his sons, John Jay McKelvey, III of Tacoma, WA, Edward Faulkner McKelvey of Boulder, CO and Laurence Brunning McKelvey of Wheatfield, IN; and his daughters-in-law, Marilyn Lee, Pamela Wise, Nancy Connors and Stephenie Frederick of Portland, OR. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren.

We will be following CDC and New York State Restrictions due to Covid 19.

Flowers are welcome; those who wish to memorialize John in other ways might consider gifts in his name to either of his churches or to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Josephine F. McKelvey.
