She was predeceased by: her parents, Ane Bootsma and Richjse Rusticus Bootsma (Ruth); and her husband Theodore Boersma. She is survived by: her children, Andrew Boersma of Havre de Grace, John Boersma (Jan) of Glenwood and Ruth Stewart; her granddaughter Lauren Boersma; and her siblings, Thomas Bootsma of Oregon, Jake Bootsma of West Virginia, Richard Bootsma of Sussex, Harry Bootsma of Sussex, Gene Bootsma of Sussex, Tena Stout of Belvedere and Susan Engelsman of California. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory with donations to the Parkinsons Foundation or the Mohawk Reformed Church.
