He was predeceased by: his parents, Augustine Francis Maher and Dorothy Stevener Maher; and his daughter Elysia Maher Vulcheff. He is survived by: his wife Patty McMullen Maher; his children, Hilary Montesano (Bill), Shanon Cehaja (Azem) and Zachary Maher; and his grandchildren, Adelaide, William, Jillian Montesano, John "Kiel" Vulcheff, Saniya and Augustin Cehaja.
