He was predeceased by: his parents, Emilio Monti and Anna Monti; his brothers, Frank and Roberto Monti; and his brother-in-law Sherman Merry.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Monti; his sons, Larry Fitzgerald, Edward Fitzgerald-Monti (Karin) and Scott Fitzgerald; his grandchildren, Kennedy Cavarello (Brandon), Edward Fitzgerald, Jr., Isabella Atwell (Travis), Scott Fitzgerald, Jr. and Olivia Sharrow (Zach); his great grandchildren, Derek, Lilee, Lainee, Henlee, Saylor and Haisley; and his siblings-in-law, Josephine Monti, Ronald Merry, Charlotte Morak, Kathy Pratt, Patty Dosztan (Randy) and Dorothy Hendrickson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John Evangelist Church of Greece (2400 W Ridge Rd, Rochester, NY 14626).
