She was predeceased by : her parents, Esteban Garcia Laboy and Vicenta Sanchez Lind; her brothers, Marcos A. Garcia and Carlos D. Garcia; and her son Neftali "Rico" Santiago Jr. (Jaqueline Santiago).

She is survived by : her husband Neftali C. Santiago; and her children, Melvin J. Santiago (Lorraine Santiago), Michael D. Santiago, Anna N. Santiago-Rodriguez, Mary B Santiago (Giovana Cubero), Brenda E. Santiago, Ana Marzan, Timothy Nickens and Amalio Santiago Jr.. She is also survived by 13 grand children, several great-grand children, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
