He was predeceased by: his parents, Myron Ornum and Vera Van Ornum (Jones); and his brothers, Alden Ornum and Paul Van Ornum. He is survived by: his daughters, Sharon (Ken Bensen), Glenda (Mark Jackson), Joy Van Ornum of Naples and Rosa (Tom Struve); and his granddaughters, Sandra, Kim, Cindy, Heather, Kelly and Tess. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rev. Van Ornum's memory may be made to Rome First United Methodist Church or the Rome Sports Hall of Fame.
