With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gary P. Sauer of Rome, New York, who passed away on September 23, 2021 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard "Chunky" and Rita Boyer Sauer; and his parents-in-law, Louis R. and Emma C. Marcelletta. He is survived by: his wife Karen Marcelletta; his daughter Emy; his son-in-law William McCarthy; his grandchildren, Chloe Lyman, Evan Liam and Gemma Grace Veronica McCarthy; and his sisters, Cherie Gillander and Lynne Sauer. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial contributions may be made in Gary's name to a charity of one's choice.
