He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Estes and Mary Crockett Estes; and his siblings, Rose Marie Nauman Ring, Vernon Estes, Robert Estes and Kathryn Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Jane Gifford; his brother Phillip Estes (Deborah) of Palm Bay; his sister-in-law Sally Brenner of Gloversville, NY; and his children, Daniel Estes (Paula) of Johnstown, NY, Susan "Suzy" Iarusso (Mike) of Fonda, NY, Anne Estes of Kealakekua and Mary Anne Majoros (Stephen) of Houghton, NY.. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Bethesda Christian Fellowship (7 E Main St, St Johnsville, NY 13452).
