He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter J. Opitz and Victoria Opitz (Wnek); and his siblings, Viola Andryszczyk (Chester), Stella Faluszczak (Raymond), Peter Opitz (Joyce) and Joseph Opitz.
He is survived by: his nephews, Chester (Christine), Timothy, Raymond and Gregory.
