He was predeceased by: his mother Katherine Sanders; and his son Peter James Sanders. He is survived by: his wife Sarah Sanders; his children, Wallace Whalen, Karen Ann LaPlant, Sandra Sanders, Mary Schempp and Donna Jean Sanders; his siblings-in-law, Richard Travis, Arthur Travis and Rose Travis; and his grandchildren, John, Lauren Schempp, Stephanie, Michelle and Bernie Laplant. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
