He is survived by: his wife Gloria Shafer; his sons, Joseph (Barbara), Gerard (Maria) and Christopher (Louis Shafer); his grandchildren, Sarah Gotham (Adam), Aaron, Kyle, Meghan, Maddie, Anna, Abby and Maggie Shafer; his sisters, Carolyn Lynch (Bernie), Mary May (Paul) and Judy Reisinger (John); and his sister-in-law Jean Shafer. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
