She was predeceased by : her parents, Milton Stanley and Edith Stanley (Mielke); her husband George "Carl" McDermott; her sons, Kevin McDermott and Brian E. McDermott; and her siblings, Cora Barker and Milton S. Stanley Jr..

She is survived by : her children, Georgia McDermott and Ronald S. McDermott (Nancy); and her sister Lora Boone. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren & 16 great grandchildren.
