It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Legrand of South Fallsburg, New York, born in Mount Gilead, North Carolina, who passed away on September 16, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, June Arthur LeGrand and Sally Domas LeGrand; his children, Sonya LeGrand and Tommy LeGrand; his siblings, Louretha Cole, Sally Person (Leander) and Sammuel LeGrand; and his stepson Tarlene Heyward.
He is survived by : his wife Helen LeGrand; his children, William LeGrand (Annette) of Webb Mississippi, James Smith (Tonya) of Greensboro, NC, Wanda Leak of Memphis, Charlene Stubbs of Southern Pines, NC, Marco Heyward (Marinna) of California, Lynda Robinson of Monticello, NY, Shane LeGrand of South Fallsburg, NY, Moeisha Neals of Monticello, NY and Nina LeGrand-Carr (Robert) of Milford, PA.; and his siblings, Hannah Penn of Winston Salem, NC, Shirley Cagle of Zion Grove, NC, Martha Smith (Walter) of West End, NC, Carrie LeGrand Wallace (Perry), Brenda LeGrand and James Arthur LeGrand of West End, NC.. He is also survived by his 30 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, 10 nieces, 15 nephews, host of cousins.
