He was predeceased by : his parents, Andrew Ragone, and Anna Marinello Ragone, Sr.; and his wife Emily A. Ragone. He is survived by : his children, David Ragone (Ivette) of Argyle and Darcie Salmon of Buskirk; and his grandchildren, Nicholas Krege (Kirsten), Vincent Ragone (Kimberleigh), Felicia Garrison (Jeff Kosinski), Dominic Krege (Kiana), Gianna Salmon, David Ragone, Jr., Alec Ragone, Kristal and Gabby. He is also survived by 18 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Bonnie Montana wrote a sympathy message

“We are so saddened by Joe's death. He was our beach friend and fishing buddy in Florida. Whenever he came to the beach he took the long walk to sit with Mark while he was fishing no matter where he was. We truly enjoyed his stories and wonderful sense of humor. Two years ago he invited us to dinner at his house where he made us his famous spaghetti sauce and it was delicious! Joe truly loved Florida but he also loved his family . He will be greatly missed.
