Barbara Ann Malone Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Ann Malone (Suffern, New York), who passed away on September 9, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Barbara Ann may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Barbara Ann touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James F. McAvoy and Jenny McAvoy (Deraney); and her husband William Malone (Bill). She is survived by: her children, Carolyn Malone (Robert Hall), Sandra Lattanzio (Kim D'Souza) and James Malone; her grandson Edward Lattanzio; her siblings, Mary Lou Sabbag and John McAvoy (Linda McAvoy); and her sisters-in-law, Catherine Bender and Sharon Cronk (Thomas Cronk). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home (177 NY-59, Suffern, NY 10901). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
