Alonso A. Alunan Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 19, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Alonso A. Alunan of Staten Island, New York. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family. Though Alonso may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Alonso touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Rosalie Alunan; his children, Maria Sherzad (Mangal), Alvin Alunan (Michael Signoriello), Carlo Alunan (Julia) and Carla Federovich (Mark); his grandchildren, Zadron Sherzad, Robert, Kate Federovich and Sebastian Alunan; and his sister Gloria DeCastro.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals, Inc. (28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10312). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Thomas the Apostle Church (50 Maguire Ave, Staten Island, NY 10309).
