She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, John D'Aiello and Frances D'Aiello; her husband David Simpson Whittet; her children, Elizabeth Cruz and Alexander David Whittet; her daughter-in-law Barbara Hayes; her grandchildren, Christina Cucchiara, Jessica Cruz, Devon Whelan and Alexander James Whittet; her great grandchild Sophia Anne Cucchiara; and her brothers, John Dale, Frank D'Aiello and Stephen D'Aiello. She was also cherished by several nephews and their spouses.
