George gave to young minds very valuable teachings, principles, courage and equanimity that will serve them for life. As father of one of these men I am very grateful to George, he gave my son a treasure I would not have been able to give him. I have been a colleague of George’s for many years at Collegiate and despite the fact that we worked in different departments, we had plenty of opportunities to share stories, discuss school matters, talk about our students and more. George was an amazing mentor figure for teachers and students alike. I always benefitted from his wisdom and sense of humor! He was sorely missed when he retired.
