She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, John Peter Massey and Helene Elisabeth Schenkel (Helen); her husband Andrew Schmitt, Jr.; her brothers, John Martin Massey and Daniel Henry Massey; her son Andrew Schmitt III; her daughter-in-law Gonca Latif-Schmitt; and her granddaughters, Yasemin Catherine and Melisa Elizabeth.
