He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Pompa; his son Joseph E. Pompa; and his siblings, Vincent C. Pompa and Fortunda Pompa Wiese. He is survived by: his son James V. Pompa; his daughter-in-law Margaret Mary Pompa; his grandchildren, Joseph E. Pompa, Geana Marie Luisi, Tonianne Violetta, James V. Pompa Jr. and Patrice Pompa; and his children, Stephen Violetta and Leanna Luisi.
