She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Crooks and Margaret Crooks (Hilton). She is survived by: her sister Eleanor Nugent (Gerald); her nephew Michael Nugent (Kim); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Liam and Kyle; and her goddaughter Linda Palladino. She is also survived by her extended family members and many dear cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joan's memory to the Kaplan Family Hospice House c/o Care Dimensions 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923.
