He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Elizabeth Rydell (Betsy) and Allan Rydell; his child Paul A. Rydell; and his siblings, Penny McNerney (Kevin), Eugene Rydell (Dorothy) and Matthew Rydell. He was also cherished by three nieces and two nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul's memory may be made to the RUMC Silberstein Clinic, 1130 South Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10314.
