He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Ambery and Mary Crossin Ambery; and his brothers, George, Thomas, Charles and Robert.
He is survived by: his daughters, Paula (Costa) and Tracey (Iovino); his son-in-law William Costa (James Iovino); his grandchildren, Ava Marie, Joseph Paul, Emileo Paul and Lily Grace; and his sisters, Margaret Ryan, Catherine King and Mary Burns. He is also survived by his wife, daughters, son-in-laws, grandchildren.
