He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Catherine; his son Salvatore Giordano (Denise); his grandchildren, Vince and Sal Anthony Giordano; his siblings, Vincent Giordano and Jean Balsamo; his nephew Anthony Giordano; and his nieces, Marie Albanese and Lucille Dowd.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sal's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
