She was predeceased by: her fiancé Michael McLaurin; her mother Hattie Phoenix; her siblings, Frank Brown, Robert McGann Jr., Audrey Williams, Barbara Washington, Earnestine Rouse and Robin Jones-Phoenix; and her birth mother Terrie Rheubottom.
She is survived by: her children, Akaijaneek Leary, Jha'Kelz Leary, Mykir McLaurin and Kendall Domres; and her father James Torrance. She is also survived by siblings, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
